well the dreaded first day back from break finally came.
and surprisingly, it was extremely underwhelming. classes are going to be extremely easy compared to last semester, so i should do great. a 4.0 is completely reasonable and will be my goal for the first time in college. no reason to settle for less!
found out one class is a hybrid, meaning we aren't meeting 12/15 fridays of this semester..... i was kinda caught off guard about it, but not at all disappointed that's for sure. wonderful professors for my classes and should all be very interesting too! I LOVE MY MAJORS!!! it is nice to finally have classes i enjoy with people who get the way i think. what a relief it is to know i finally found what i like.
i still can't believe i started concert choir today. i have hoped for a spot for so long and to finally be there was complete surreal. thinking about it now it doesn't seem like it actually happened. more like an awkward tv show that i watched for an hour. it makes me want to cry thinking about how great it is going to be, and i have only been there one day!
and on top of all the wonder of concert choir, I STILL GET STATESMEN TOO!!! tuesdays and thursdays i just have choir and statesmen, which is going to be the greatest days of the week. i couldn't dream up a better schedule and i didn't even plan it! i am so blessed to have such wonderful people in my life. unbelievably caring, talented, and amazing people who make me so genuinely happy.
beyond a very relaxing haircut (and trimmed eye brows :)), an evening of el patio with beth was just the way i love to end the day. relaxing, having a margarita, talking about life, and having nap time afterwards was the perfect. also catching up with some other friends was really nice too. this semester is going to be a great change of pace from last semesters lack of social life, which i am really looking forward to. more time to spend with people i love, get back into healthier shape, and just enjoy life that much more!
something i learned today: good things DO come to people who wait for them. seriously.
going to sleep a very very very happy boy. :)
